Talladega, Ala. - The final lap of the 2024 GEICO 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway ended in chaos when Corey LaJoie's car flipped and landed on its side. LaJoie, who was running in the top 10 at the time, was uninjured in the crash.

The incident occurred as the cars were racing side-by-side down the backstretch on the final lap. contact between LaJoie's car and another car sent his car spinning into the wall. LaJoie's car then soared into the air, landing on its side in the infield.

LaJoie was able to climb out of his car and walk away from the crash. He was taken to the infield care center for evaluation but was not seriously injured.
